NJ State trooper struck by vehicle on I-295, report says
A New Jersey State trooper has been airlifted to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle on I-295, 6ABC News has reported.
Authorities told 6ABC that the trooper sustained serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle at about 8 p.m., while on the highway near Exit 23 in West Deptford.
The trooper's name and condition have not yet been released.
NJ State Police confirmed the incident in a post on Twitter, indicating that the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the roadway.
