Account Manager

Townsquare Media Trenton (NJ 101.5/WPST 94.5/WCHR 1040/920 ESPN) is looking for a bright and energetic Local Account Manager to join our growing Operations Team. Our team is responsible for providing front line support to our sales department in both pre-sale and post-sale tasks. This is a highly collaborative and detail-oriented role where you will serve as the organizational guru. The Local Account Manager is a natural communicator and problem solver. This position thrives in a dynamic and competitive environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Enters sales orders into WideOrbit and helps follow the life or an order up to launch. Handles requests from sellers to modify orders as well.
  • Collaborates with Digital Campaign Manager, trafficking team and sellers to organize items needed for campaigns
  • Occasionally produces reports and reviews them for issues related to pacing, delivery and reconciliation
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Market President and Director of Sales
  • Provides administrative and/or process support for contracts, customer service and order history.
  • Create production orders for produced and written copy via a paperless-production order system called, vCreative
  • Assign creative materials for broadcast and online radio orders via WideOrbit Traffic

Who You Are:

Assistant Digital Editor/Reporter

Townsquare Media Trenton in Ewing, New Jersey, is looking to hire an Assistant Digital Editor/Reporter for News to create content and coach content producers for NJ1015.com, the award-winning digital arm of New Jersey’s largest news/talk radio station, New Jersey 101.5. This is a position with the flexibility to work either in a fast-paced newsroom or remotely while communicating with journalists in the field.

This is a leadership role working in consultation with on-air and digital-first news teams to develop their stories. This editor will help develop long-term projects assign daily stories in consultation with New Jersey 101.5's Digital Managing Editor and News Director, and edit material daily.

The Assistant Digital Editor/Reporter will have a passion for and understanding of timely, multi-platform distribution of news and entertainment content. He or she will be able to deliver strong news reporting in a breaking news environment, and pivot to highly shareable, engaging material with a unique voice — always focused on New Jersey. The Assistant Digital Editor/Reporter for News will create such content and help others in the digital and on-air staff to do the same.

The person filling this role should understand what makes online content conversation-starting and good for SEO. Strong writing and reporting skills are essential; multimedia skills are highly valued.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in online journalism, and a strong editorial voice.

The job also requires a sense for marketing and socialization of content, the ability to focus under pressure, and the capacity for managing multiple tasks at once. Great communication skills and attention to detail are a requirement. Experience working with WordPress, HTML, Photoshop and video and familiarity with AP style are all a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Digital Managing Editor and News Director and with a staff of other content producers to create compelling, relevant news and entertainment content for the New Jersey community. This content will consist of text, photo, video and interactive content across the site, mobile and social media.
  • Take part in brainstorming sessions and other creative discussions with the radio station's editorial team to develop content ideas for the community based on news value, audience demand and search data
  • Edit several posts and features a day, working with their authors to develop strong content
  • Respond to breaking news in a timely manner
  • In consultation with the Digital Managing Editor:
    • Conceive of innovative ways to distribute the content across the Web and grow the audience
    • Monitor and analyze Web statistics with the goal of improving performance
    • Utilize and enforce best practices for Search Engine Optimization and Social Media to drive audience.

Qualifications:
