MacArthur to host fundraiser at Bedminster Trump club
WASHINGTON D.C — Congressman Tom MacArthur will host a fundraiser at President Donald Trump's golf club in Bedminster on June 11.
According a copy of the invitation obtained by New Jersey 101.5 and WOBM, the president will be a "special guest" at the event paid for by his fundraising committee, MacArthur Victory being held at Trump National Bedminster.
The top ticket is a $100,000 contribution for an individual or as part of a group. The next level is a co-host priced at $25,000 for a couple . Both levels come with a VIP photo opportunity, and reception. The third tier of pricing is for supporters at $5,400 for a couple with just the reception.
MacArthur was a strong backer of President Trump's healthcare plan, and helped get it passed in the House by crafting an amendment that addressed concerns about pre-existing conditions.
At the same time, the third district congressman has come under criticism from several political groups for his support, running advertising against his position. The groups have also protested outside his New Jersey offices and at his live town meeting after he accused them of packing audiences which kept out some constituents.
The fundraiser will also mark Trump's second trip to New Jersey as president.
