OLD BRIDGE — Police are hoping members of the public will help find a man say entered a private school Monday morning and left with an envelope he had taken from an empty classroom.

According to the police department, the man entered St. Thomas the Apostle grammar school at around 10:47 Monday morning. After being let into the school by front office staff, the man then went into the classroom and took "an envelope which contained miscellaneous non-personal items," police said in a Facebook post. Police didn't provide any more details about what was in the envelope.

From the time he entered the building until he left the man had no contact with any students, according to police.

Police are asking anyone who can help identify the man to call Det. Addie Spinola at 732-721-5600 ext. 3181.
