
NJ man violently mugged a nun and brutally raped another woman in single day, cops say
🚨 Newark police say a 25-year-old man robbed and punched a nun, then allegedly raped and robbed another woman just 30 minutes later.
⚖️ Detectives identified Newark resident Faheem Green using surveillance footage from both crime scenes, authorities said.
💔 Prosecutors charged Green with aggravated sexual assault, attempted murder, robbery, aggravated assault and other offenses.
NEWARK — A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with robbing and punching a nun and raping and robbing another woman in two separate incidents on the same day last weekend in New Jersey's biggest city.
Newark nun robbed and assaulted during morning attack
Police responded 7:30 a.m., Saturday, July 11, to Orange Street near South 11th Street in for a reported robbery.
The nun told police that she fell to the ground after being punched by a man on the street.
The suspect stole her purse and took off. The nun was taken to University Hospital.

Woman allegedly raped after violent Newark robbery
About a half hour after the first incident, another woman reported that she was followed by a man after she got off a bus at Hudson Street near Central Avenue.
After he demanded her purse and she handed it over, the man hit her in the face with a gun, pushed her to the ground, and choked her until she passed out. When she regained consciousness, the victim discovered that she had been raped, police said.
She was also taken to a hospital.
Surveillance footage leads to Newark suspect's arrest
Detectives identified Faheem Green, of Newark, as the suspect in both incidents after reviewing footage.
He faces robbery, aggravated sexual assault in the course of a felony, aggravated assault, attempted murder and criminal restraint charges.
