PRINCETON — Police are looking for the person they say groped a woman on Thursday, the latest in a series of similar incidents going back to 2014.

In the latest incident a woman was grabbed in the buttocks by a man who came up from behind her as she walked eastbound on Mercer Street around 9:10 a.m., according to Princeton police.

The man pushed her forward and ran west on Mercer Street and onto Springdale Road as she fell to the ground.

The woman described her assailant as a Hispanic male approximately 30 to 40 years of age, standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches, with a medium skin tone/complexion, and short, spiked hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with two buttons or dots on the front near the collar.

A similar incident happened in April on Moore and Spruce Streets. Police spokesman Frederick R. Williams told New Jersey 101.5 that a connection between the most recent incident and previous cases "is a possibility we cannot rule out at this point."

Williams asked anyone with information about this incident including witnesses should call 609-921-2100 ext. 1834.
