Westwood High School Food Fight Nets 30 Suspensions
Students who took part in a major food fight this week at a northern New Jersey high school are paying a price for their escapade.
Thirty students who hurled food in Westwood High School's cafeteria on Wednesday, the last day of classes, have received five-day suspensions. And for students who missed finals as a result, school officials say they'll have to wait until the last week of June or when school reopens in September to take them.
Superintendent Geoffrey Zoeller Jr. tells The Record of Woodland Park that some students targeted teachers and staff as well as fellow students.
Officials used surveillance footage to identify some of the students involved. Others came forward and fessed up.
