Walmart Black Friday sales announced for NJ’s 96 stores

Walmart's Black Friday deals for 2015 had been announced — and online shoppers will get a head start over those coming to the chain's 96 New Jersey locations.

Many items will go on sale at 120:01 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning. Black Friday sales will begin in-store at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.

But the store won't be offering doorbuster deals. Instead, customers in during the first hour the store is open Thanksgiving will be guaranteed availability of a handful of sale items, even if they sell out that day.

Walmart is one of several retailers with presences in New Jersey opening on Thanksgiving day. Toys R Us will open most locations at 5 p.m. Thousands of people have signed a petition urging the Deptford Mall to close on Thanksgiving, though it's one of several malls that will be open.

Outdoor goods stor REI will be closed not only on Thanksgiving, but on black Friday — and is paying its employees for the day off.

Among the sales items announced Thursday:
