We threw our first ever Saturday Night Springsteen Party this weekend on the boardwalk at the New Jersey Natural Gas Asbury Park Studio. I had a ton of fun playing Jersey's favorite Springsteen hits and getting a chance to meet our listeners face to face. Here are some of the highlights from the broadcast.

We had a guy stop by who had two well trained birds on his shoulders. I had a chance to feed one of them.

I interviewed Susan Collin from the Ronald McDonald House. She gave us some info about the great things the foundation is doing and how we could get involved.

Two loyal listeners had just gotten engaged on the beach behind the studio said hello. I had to find out more about how this all went down. Needless to say, this guy was smooth!

And last but not least, the much anticipated sing-along to Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road" went even better than I expected! The rain actually did hold off for the duration of the broadcast, but the forecast kept calling for thunderstorms and the skies were threatening, so the boardwalk had a little less foot traffic than usual. Then five minutes before the sing-along was slated to begin, we had Bruce fans showing up left and right to sing their hearts out!

This is a lot of fun to have in only three hours. Thank you to everyone for listening, stopping by and participating, and to our promotions team for making everything run as easily as possible. I can't wait to do it all over again!
