LINDEN — Two men were arrested for damaging cars parked in a movie theater parking lot by jumping and tumbling on them in July.

Joye Dossantos-Rosario, 21, and Kyle Williams, 22, both of Linden, were charged with third-degree criminal mischief for the July 19 incident at the AMC Aviation 12 Movie Theater.

Linden Police detectives arrested the men last Thursday without incident. Both were later released pending an appearance in Superior Court later this week.

In an Instagram post of the video that residents reported to police, two males are seen jumping across the hoods of cars and doing somersaults on the vehicles. One of the men is seen cracking the windshield of a car with his feet.

Voices on and off camera are heard screaming, laughing and yelling in glee as the men make their way up the row of parked cars.

Many moviegoers found the damage when they came out of the theater around 12:30 a.m. that morning, Linden Police spokesman Lt. Christopher Guenther said. At least nine vehicles were initially reported to be damaged. Others reported damage after seeing the video when it was released by police.

The incident remains under investigation, according to Guenther.

"We are proud of the work done to arrest these men. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated, and we will persevere in apprehending anyone who engages in it," Linden Police Chief Jonathan Parham said in a statement.
