
Smoke from Wildwood Crest house fire seen for miles
WILDWOOD CREST — A 3 alarm fire sent plumes of black smoke into the skies that could been seen from the Garden State Parkway.
The fire was in a two story wooden house on Park Boulvevard along Sunset Lake.
The Press of Atlantic City reported the back of one house has burned and a deck collapsed. A home next door has also burned.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. 6 ABC Action News reported an air conditioner until and a propane tank that exploded were to blame for the fire.
Fire Chief Ronald Harwood says no civilians or firefighters were injured, and the fire was deemed under control around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Dozens of firefighters were involved in the effort to reduce the flames, with multiple departments responding.
