Route 37 intersection in Toms River closed after pedestrian struck
TOMS RIVER — A pedestrian was struck Saturday morning on Route 37 in Ocean County.
The eastbound lanes were closed for several hours at Hooper Avenue in Toms River for the investigation for the incident, which took places around 6:30 a.m., according to Toms River Police. No other details were available Saturday morning.
The busy intersection has a Wawa and Perkins restaurant on the eastbound side and a Dunkin' Donuts and Howard Johnson hotel with an IHOP on the westbound side.
