
Prosecutors say suspended principal stole $10K from fundraisers
ATLANTIC CITY (AP) — A suspended Atlantic City school principal is accused of stealing more than $10,000 meant for fundraising accounts.Prosecutors say 41-year-old Lakecia Hyman was charged Wednesday with official misconduct and theft. Investigators say the Uptown School Complex principal kept more than $10,000 in cash and checks.
The Egg Harbor Township woman has been suspended with pay since February 2014.
She's due in court on June 17.
Attorney information for Hyman wasn't immediately available.
