EVESHAM — When a woman reported seeing a cell phone under the door of a changing room at a Target, it led to trove of evidence against a man now suspected in other peeping incidents, authorities say.

Police say the incident happened on Aug. 9 at the Target on Route 73. The woman told police she confronted him before he ran out the store.

A witness was able to identify the man's vehicle, according to police, who later identified him as 36-year-old Francis Vain, of Williamstown. When police went to Vain's home they reported finding evidence that he had taken pictures of the woman who reported the incident, as well as others.

Vain was charged with one count of third-degree invasion of privacy and was released on his own recognizance.

This is the latest issue Evesham has had with hidden cameras in recent months. Last month, police announced they were looking for a man accused of recording someone in a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

This happened in the same Burlington County community that has experienced dozens of lewdness incidents since last year.

Last month, a man was spotted masturbating on a park bench in the early afternoon.

In May, police charged man after he was identified as the naked “chubby” suspect who chased two girls through the street in December.

In February, police issued a notice searching for a suspect who had been spotted masturbating in public.

The Evesham Police Department is now working with the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office to try and identify other potential victims of the accused Target peeping Tom. Both agencies are encouraging anyone with information about this or other potential incidents to contact the Evesham Police Department at 856-983-1116 or the Confidential Tip Line at 856-983-4699.
