It could be days before firefighters in New Jersey can extinguish a stubborn fire in a warehouse that's still burning nearly a day later.

Elizabeth Fire Director Onofrio Vitullo says the blaze likely started with a car fire inside a body shop in the former Burry Biscuits warehouse on Wednesday afternoon. The building is divided into smaller businesses.

Vitullo says fuel from the car likely leaked and ignited other areas, including the basement.

Fire officials say there are no injuries and no danger to the public.  Fire departments from surrounding towns have stepped in to help fight the 5-alarm blaze.

The fire is contained to an isolated section of the enormous complex. Vitullo says it could be days before it's extinguished.
