New Jersey man’s body found; was shooting victim

Authorities say the body of a man who'd been shot has been found in Pleasantville.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain says Pleasantville police found the body of 36-year-old Sultan Veney of Atlantic City shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday. Veney was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy determined he died of a gunshot wound to the heart.

An investigation is continuing.
