Man shot on NJ Transit train platform

ELIZABETH (AP) — Three suspects are in custody after a shooting on the New Jersey Transit train platform in Elizabeth.

NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder says a man was shot in the leg during a robbery just before 5 a.m. Friday.

Snyder says he was taken to a hospital with a wound that is not believed to be life-threatening.

Snyder says the suspects are two males and a female. Their names have not been released.

Snyder says the platform remains open and the shooting is not affecting rail service.
