NEWTON (AP) — A North Jersey man has admitted stabbing his former Boy Scout leader to death three years ago.

Clark Fredericks pleaded guilty Wednesday to passion provocation manslaughter in the June 2012 death of Dennis Pegg. The 49-year-old Stillwater man claims Pegg molested him decades before the killing.

Fredericks says he went to "go get him" after a night of cocaine and alcohol. Investigators say Pegg was stabbed more than 20 times in his neck, chest and torso.

Fredericks will be sentenced on Aug. 4. He faces five to 10 years in prison.
