In New Jersey, we curse ’cause we care
A new study is out which says something that we, in New Jersey have known for years: people who curse are actually more honest and authentic. In other words, we curse because we care.
We usually curse around those we care about. It shows a comfort level, an intimacy. Many times on my show I feel so in tune with my listeners like we're all hanging out at 17th and West in Union City that I come close to letting an F-bomb slip out.
In Jersey, we put that word in front of everything when we want to make a point. Even Gov. Christie has been known to use it. Personally, I feel more comfortable around people who curse than those who don't. I will gladly pardon anyone's French, as they say.
So if you're around me, feel free to say whatever you want and know that I appreciate the honesty.
