HAMILTON (Mercer) — With countless packages expected to crisscross the state this holiday season, FedEx has announced they will hire close to 2,000 people in this state alone.

According to a statement from the company plans to hire around 1,800 people. A spokesman for the company said most of the people hired for the season will be assigned to the company's hub in Woodbridge.

"FedEx offers its team members the chance to grow and reach their full potential thanks to excellent training, affordable medical benefits and a strong 'promote from within culture,'" Woodbridge Hub Senior Manager Robert Brigham said in a press release.

In addition to Hamilton and Woodbridge the company also has other hubs in Union and Bellmawr. The company said last year more than one third of those hired during the holiday season were able to find employment when the season was over.
