Fatal Crash Closes I-476 Near Philadelphia

Police say a fatal accident has closed the southbound lanes of I-476 in suburban Philadelphia.

State police said a car went out of control and overturned at about 2:30 a.m. Friday at the Saint Davids/Villanova exit.

Police said the driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. No information was immediately available about the victim.

State transportation officials said all southbound lanes had been closed. Traffic was being detoured at the Route 30 exit.
