It's the most wonderful time of the year. Opening day is upon us for the Somerset Patriots. To celebrate, Deminski and Doyle are broadcasting live in Bridgewater at the home of the Patriots, TD Bank Ballpark.

We had a ton of fun meeting some of the players, coaches and ownership throughout the day, including catching up with Brett Jodie! Check out the interview below.

Somerset Patriots founder and chairman/owner Steve Kalifer joined us later on in the day to discuss what it is like to own a baseball team. Steve also gave us some insight on how the team has continued to find success on the field and through a strong fan base.

Kalifer said "The entire staff works on it. This doesn't just happen. Gameday meetings. Meetings during the off-season. Every day from beginning to the end of the season and then starting all over again. The staff that makes this place run like a clock says 'how can we make this better?'"

Right after our broadcast was over, Jeff Deminski got to throw out the first pitch prior to the opening game. In the days leading up to the game, we gave Jeff a lot of grief about how he would perform. So how did he fair? Check out the video footage above to see for yourself!
