You can play a round of golf for under $60 at this hidden gem
What did you do this weekend when it felt like it was over 100 degrees? Stay inside in the air conditioning? Maybe take a dip in the pool or go to the beach?
All of those would make more sense than playing a round of golf, which is what I did Friday morning. This week my travels took me to Middletown, Delaware, under an hour from where I live, to a course called Frog Hollow.
The price of the tee time is impossible to overlook. Anywhere in New Jersey, it feels impossible to play a course for under $90. But Frog Hollow, for a morning round, was only $53.

I had vetted the course online to make sure it was nice, and every picture I saw made it look like a fun course, and it was. Great conditions on the tee boxes, fairways, and greens. An interesting layout which kept you on your toes.
They had par 3s with water surrounding holes, sharp doglegs both left and right, and interesting tee shots where driver wasn’t always the club you needed to hit.
They let me buddy and I go out as a twosome for the first tee time of the day, so we were able to play all 18 holes in under three hours. We finished just before the worst of the heat came through.
While I don’t recommend playing in the heat we had this weekend, I do recommend trying Frog Hollow the next time you want to play a round of golf.
