Coast Guard searches off Bayonne for missing barge worker

The Coast Guard continued its search on Saturday for a man who fell off a barge off Bayonne.

The 55-year-old man went missing around 8 p.m. Friday night from the barge near the International Matex Tank Terminals in Bayonne according to the Coast Guard. A number of agencies joined the Coast Guard search including the Bayonne and Port Authority fire departments, and the NYPD aviation and harbor divisions.

Six divers were also part of the search according to the Coast Guard, which did not identify the man.

CBS New York reports the barge was in the Kill Van Kull, the body of water separating Bayonne and Staten Island.
