NJ authorities are asking for help in a search for a missing boater when his unmanned boat was discovered with the keys still in the ignition and the engine still in gear. The Coast Guard has identified Jason Sill, 39, of Cape May Courthouse as the registered owner of the boat.

A Good Samaritan reported the unmanned boat around noon about one mile east of Wildwood, officials say.

The boat was found to have the keys still in the ignition and the engine throttle forward. Fishing poles were discovered on the boat as well.

The boat's owner was last seen around 11 a.m. exiting Pier 47 Marina in Wildwood.

Anyone with information regarding the boater's whereabouts is asked to contact the Coast Guard at 215-271-4940.
