Christie in 8th place for possible presidential run, says survey
The Republican pack for president remains a very tight one.
Gov. Chris Christie is currently in eighth place among likely and declared candidates, according to the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll. However, just five percentage points separates Christie from the first place candidate, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and the second place candidate, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul.
The results perhaps show why Christie still thinks he can win the primary. In states where he has campaigned, his numbers have improved.
Christie is expected to formally declare his White House run in the next couple of weeks.
