Brush Fire Smoke Drifts into New Jersey
Smoke from a brush fire in Bucks County is drifting across the Delaware River into New Jersey.
The fire is burning along the Conrail tracks with several tanks full of chemicals near Pennsylvania Ave in Morrisville according to 6 ABC but Trenton residents are reporting the smell of smoke.
At least 4 fire engines responded to the fire reports CBS Philly.
NBC 10 reports a passing train may have started the fire. The same thing happened on Saturday when a diesel engine-pulled train with leaves stuck in its smokestack blew onto brush sparking a fire along the tracks of the Delaware River Railroad Excursion's Easter Bunny train in Pohatcong on Saturday.
Dry weather, low humidity and light-to-moderate winds continue to remain favorable conditions for the quick spread of brush fires creating a high fire danger according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
