A man describing a frightening attack at a New Jersey train station keeps his cool while a 911 operator sounds incredulous.

The call was made Monday afternoon in Ramsey, where a man allegedly tried to grab two young brothers and push them in front of an oncoming train.

The male caller matter-of-factly tells the 911 operator that "somebody just tried to throw a kid in front of the train." He has to say it again as the operator repeats what he just said in a questioning tone.

The caller tells another operator that two people have the man pinned on the ground.

Authorities have charged 47-year-old David Howard of Wyckoff with attempted murder and kidnapping. The boys' mother and grandmother are credited with holding the suspect down.
