1 shot at Delaware State University residence hall

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- A spokesman at Delaware State University says one person has been shot at an off-campus residence hall and the shooter is at large.

The Dover campus is on lockdown Monday night.

Campus spokesman Carlos Holmes says the victim was taken to a hospital.

Holmes says the shooting took place sometime after 4 p.m. at the Living and Learning Commons. It is a former Sheraton hotel.

The campus was put on lockdown around 5:30 p.m.
