Authorities say two young children were not properly restrained in the backseat of a vehicle when their father, a Bridgeton man, intentionally crashed into another car carrying his ex-girlfriend.

Last week, a grand jury in Salem County indicted Luis A. Molina-Munoz, 30 on multiple charges including endangering the welfare of children and terroristic threats. The indictments stem from the Jan. 3 incident in Pittsgrove.

According to NJ Advance Media, NJ State Police say Molina-Munoz admitted that he intentionally rammed into a vehicle carrying his ex-girlfriend, who was the mother of the two children  - ages 4 and 1 - in his car at the time. The article states that the suspect was upset because the woman had started to date someone new.

The crash took place in Pittsgrove at about 2:13 p.m. when Molina-Munoz allegedly crashed his vehicle into a Chervrolet Camaro driven by Eusebio Vaquero-Fuentes, 28, also of Bridgeton. Glenda Gomez, 24, the mother of the two children in the suspect's car, was a passenger in the Camaro. The driver told authorities he believed the suspect intentionally hit his car because he believed the driver and Gomez were dating, NJ Advance Media reported.

The children were not injured. Molina-Munoz is being held in the Salem County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail.
