The classic part of this dish is that it's simple and easy to prepare.

Real authentic Italian food is basic, simple cuisine using the best and freshest ingredients. We tend to make it complicated and add too much to any one dish, especially cheese!

In Italy, you won't find gobs of gooey melted cheese on any dishes and they also aren't drowning in tomato sauce. Here is one I made up myself, but could stand up in any Italian kitchen, and especially yours!
