Two teens missing from New Jersey youth shelter
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — Police are searching for two teens they say ran away from the Oasis Youth Shelter over the past two months.
Alerts sent out by the Middle Township Police Department are asking for help finding 14-year-old Jermasia Wright and 17-year-old Robert Stone Junio,r who reportedly ran from the shelter.
Stone, according to police, was reported a runaway on April 9. At the time he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, and a black bookbag. He is 5 feet and 7 inches, weighs approximately 170 pounds and wears glasses, according to police.
Wright was reported missing on May 12. Police say she was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, a dark pink top and khaki pants. Describing her as a "habitual runaway," police say she does not have a call phone. She has been known to go to Salem County in New Jersey, as well as Philadelphia, or Wilmington, Delaware, where police say she has family and other social ties.
The OASIS Youth Services Program provides 24-hour emergency shelter to children age 10 through 19. The program is meant for children going through personal or family crises, as well as runaway, homeless or abused children.
