The latest episode of racial stupidity come from Edison where someone who wants to remain nameless sent out a political mailer saying the Asian candidates running for office should be deported.  It reads: "Make Edison Great Again." I think they're doing that.

As NJ1015.com reported Wednesday night, the mailer includes pictures of two school board candidates, one Chinese-American the other Indian-American, with a red "DEPORT" stamp under their faces. It continues: "The Chinese and Indians are taking over our town!" it declares. "Chinese school! Indian school! Cricket fields! Enough is enough!"

On the back: "Stop wasting school holidays! Stop the outsiders!"

It's been my experience that people of both Chinese and Indian descent are among the hardest working people I've ever seen. As I read the story, I see that they've established a "Thriving Little India" neighborhood complete with restaurants, businesses and grocery stores." Then it goes on to say that "on the weekends, a Chinese community group pays the school district rent to hold Chinese language classes in classrooms."

It seems to me that Edison is doing pretty good having Asians there. If these hardworking people want to play cricket in their spare time, so be it. I remember growing up in Union City when the Italians would play bocci ball. Now many have moved out to the suburbs, making way for the Hispanic wave that has taken over. I remember being there as the neighborhood was changing. I actually made new friends that I have until this day.

To the point of the pamphlet, if getting these people out makes Edison great again, what is it that they are doing that would replace the tax money from all these businesses? I guess we'll never know since they won't tell us who wrote it.
