TRENTON — A city elementary school teacher has been charged with having sexual relations with an underage male on multiple occasions.

Rayna Culver, 43, of Burlington Township, was charged Wednesday with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree child endangerment.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office did not say whether the boy was a student or reveal his exact age or what his relationship was to Culver in order to protect his identity.

Prosecutors say the trysts began last year and at least some of them took place in Burlington Township.

Most recent public records show Culver was an elementary school teacher earning a $96,000 salary with more than 19 years of experience.

Culver has been released from custody and has been ordered not to contact the victim or anyone underage.

New Jersey 101.5 was unable to reach Culver for comment Thursday or find out if she had an attorney who could speak on her behalf.

District officials could not be reached for comment late Thursday afternoon.
