Real estate can be all about timing. The worst move I ever made was buying a house in 2006 which I then was forced to sell in 2011 after the “Great Recession” under Obama hit. The value of that home plummeted by well over 30%.

It reminds me of an old Steve Martin joke…“I wrote a book called How to Turn a Million Dollars in Real Estate into $25 Cash.”

These days in much of New Jersey the timing couldn’t be more in favor of the seller. With inventory far lower than demand the prices of homes have increased dramatically.
