The Record reports that Rafael Vazquez entered the pleas during a court appearance on Monday. The 25-year-old has been recovering from surgery for gunshot wounds to his left arm and left leg.

Authorities have said the officer was making a marijuana buy when he was shot in the right hip and left lower leg. Two other suspects face robbery, aggravated assault and weapons charges.

The officer has been released from the hospital.

The name of the nine-year veteran of the Paramus force has not been released because he works undercover for the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office's narcotics task force.
