So Eric Scott and I were talking about cooking on a salt block.

He noticed that halfway through the conversation, I got distracted (probably tweeting) and made sure I stopped and actually heard his warning about what to do and more importantly, what not to do when using a salt block to cook meat on the grill.

I'll be trying out the new technique over the holiday and will report back!
