Prosecutors say a Newark man was fatally shot this weekend while working at city pizzeria.

But it's still not clear what sparked the shooting or whether the victim, 55-year old Calvin Johnson, was targeted by the assailant.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says the shooting at the Golden Pizzeria and Grill restaurant in Newark's West Ward occurred around 11:10 p.m. Friday. But further details on the shooting, including what type of weapon was used and how many shots were fired, were not disclosed.

Johnson was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests had been made as of late Sunday morning.
