NYC travel ban Saturday — includes trips into, out of city

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has issued a travel ban for New York City and Long Island, going into effect at 2:30 p.m.

For New Jersey residents, that means no travel in and out of the city. NJ Transit had already suspended all bus and rail service throughout Saturday.

The Long Island Railroad will stop running at 4 p.m., Cuomo also announced mid-day Saturday. Some trains will stop running earlier, and riders will need to listen for announcements.
