Snapchat video leads to criminal charges against NJ woman, police say

LITTLE EGG HARBOR — A New Jersey woman grabbing attention with her mugshot is being held on child sex crimes.

Victoria Anne Cranmer, 25, of Little Egg Harbor, is charged with the sexual assault of a child older than 4 years old but younger than 13. She's also charged with three separate counts of child endangerment, including duty of care, having photos, and selling photos.

Police say investigation centers on Snapchat video

According to a criminal complaint filed this week, Cranmer recorded an illicit Snapchat video of a girl. The incident took place on May 6, police said. Police didn't disclose the girl's exact age but said she was younger than 13. Investigators also found the video saved in the Snapchat memories of Cranmer's phone.

An appendix with more details was not included in the complaint obtained by New Jersey 101.5.

On Wednesday, Cranmer was arrested and taken to Ocean County Jail. Records show she has not been released.

A voicemail was left on Cranmer's cell phone seeking comment. New Jersey 101.5 did not know Thursday whether she had an attorney who could speak on her behalf.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Cranmer works in the medical field as a clinical coordinator at a foot-and-ankle office. She is a graduate of Pinelands Regional High School.
