LITTLE EGG HARBOR — Police called to a wooded area of town on Saturday say they found a garbage bag full of dead birds.

According to police, the bag contained 22 dead birds including roosters, hens, guinea hens and pigeons.

Not only were the birds dead, they had also been decapitated, according to police.

Two days later police were called back to the same area where they found more bags with five more decapitated birds.

Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents to call Detective Joel Mahr at 609-296-366 ext. 178.
