The sudden postponement of a rocket launch in Virginia on Tuesday night gives New Jerseyans a second chance to see the craft makes its way towards space tonight.

Tuesday night's launch was postponed 15 minutes before liftoff  due to insufficient time to cool the instruments on the payload down to the required temperatures before launch according to NASA.

The launch is scheduled for between 11:00 a.m. and midnight tonight for the Cosmic Infrared Background ExpeRIment (CIBER)  tonight between 11 p.m. and midnight from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on a  Black Brant XII suborbital sounding rocket according to NASA. Southern & central counties in New Jersey will be able to see the rocket head into space in the eastern sky120 seconds after launch.

There is a window to launch until June 10.

CIBER will allow scientists to study when the first stars and galaxies formed in the universe and how brightly they burned their nuclear fuel.

The launch can be watched via live video stream starting at 10 p.m .
