An ride-share driver reported missing after dropping off a passenger has been found dead.

The Press of Atlantic City in a tweet said George Gdovin was found in a Galloway hotel after checking in on Saturday morning, but not checking out Sunday.

According to News 12, the manager said the death was "accidental."

A message for the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has not yet been returned.

Beth Browning Gendler, Gdovin girlfriend's mother, said in a Facebook post he was found deceased.

Gdovin dropped off a passenger in Bay Head around 4 a.m, according to Seaside Park Police, who issued a missing person alert on Sunday.

Police had initially described Gdovin as an Uber driver, but according to the company, he had not driven for the service in several weeks. It was not immediately clear if he had instead been driving for another company at the time of his disappearance.
