Behold, Boardwalk Empire ... but in real life!

Reddit user Abyssrealm stumbled upon this video posted by Upscaled Studio recently, and shared it with the r/NewJersey subreddit.

It's funny how watching black and white film from years ago alters your imagination of what life must have looked like at the time. You envision everything and everyone looking old-fashioned and outdated. But as it turns out, as soon as you add some color to a film, it almost instantly resembles a modern city. Here's the original black and white version of the video above.
