Mad Batter will be the best rabbit hole you find in NJ

If you find yourself in Cape May, NJ, or close to it, you need to visit The Mad Batter. Adorable old Victorian, with eclectic style and amazing food. The menu has a wide variety and you can get breakfast all day.

Their drinks have their own menu from all kinds of coffees to smoothies, juices, hot chocolate, lattes, and alcoholic beverages. According to my friend, Angela, the Bloody Mary is a must-try.

I have yet to have dinner there but I have enjoyed breakfast and lunch. My favorites are their omelets and oatmeal pancakes. When you ask for avocado for your omelet you get an avocado, not measly pieces of one.

It's a perfect location being down the block from the beach and down the block from the town center with all its quaint shops.

I don't normally compliment the bathrooms but these bathrooms are single rooms, well taken care of with tons of amenities from feminine supplies to body spray, deodorant, and hand lotion.

There are different style rooms for dining and even a garden out back that has some small cafe tables and chairs.

Unfortunately, the wait staff is a mix of really nice to can't be bothered. The servers are great but some of the host team could use some personality. It's definitely not something that ruins your experience there.

If you are getting some dishes to go so you can enjoy the beach, they will pack things to make it easy to indulge on your beach chair.
