Malik Singer was charged with the 2008 murder of Michael Love at a social club in Franklin Township. He also was charged with conspiring to retaliate against three potential witnesses and soliciting help to have them murdered.

The 37-year-old Jamesburg resident was convicted in December.

Singer will serve a 25-year sentence for murder conspiracy and a consecutive 15-year sentence for conspiring to kill the witnesses. He will serve at least 85 percent of the sentence under the state's No Early Release Act.

Two co-defendants have pleaded guilty.

Love's body was found under a garbage can in May 2008 outside the Ten's Enough Social Club.
