Wednesday's high temperatures reached the low to middle 80s, as warm as 84 at Newark, Trenton, and Wrightstown.

The normal high is 77 or 78.

Today will mostly be in the 70s later after showers, some of them heavy this morning and maybe even a brief thunderstorm.  Much of it ends by late morning and midday, then clouds and some sunshine this afternoon with just the chance of another late shower, most in NW Jersey.

Clear and cooler 50s tonight with even a few possible 40s in NW Jersey, low 60s along the south coast.

Some great weather lies ahead, beginning with Friday.

Sunny and pleasant tomorrow with very low humidity and highs in the mid to upper 70s.

A mainly sunny weekend follows that.

Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the low to middle 80s.  It'll turn cooler each day this weekend at the beach.

Some ocean temperatures are in the low to even middle 60s now.
