The National Retail Federation estimates that 171 million Americans are set to celebrate Halloween this year!

On a nationwide basis, you'll see plenty of superheroes, princesses, zombies, pumpkins and witches this year...

This year, more superheroes are expected to knock on doors looking for treats...dethroning the 'princess' as the top costume after 11 years at #1!

Americans are expected to spend $3.1 billion on Halloween costumes for adults, children and...yes...pets!

This year's survey finds that 7 in 10 adults will be handing out candy...and about half will be decorating their homes...or putting on a costume!

Total spending, including candy and decorations, is expected to reach $8.4 billion!

That averages out to about $83 per person...up from just over $73 last year!

You still have a few days to become a part of these "spooky" statistics, New Jersey!

I, for one, am glad that the big day is still a few days away...because I still have to decide what to be!
