Could it be a crime to tell the #MuffinJoke?
We've gotten to the point where telling the dreaded #MuffinJoke isn't just painful, it could be an outright crime.
Former NJ teacher-turned comedian, Jay Black, joined me, along side Chasing News reporter Jessica Nutt, to plan our upcoming comedy show at the Comedy Cove on Thursday night, Feb. 23.
Of course you can't talk comedy without me HAVING to figure out a way to tell the muffin joke. People are going out of their way to beg Jessica to stop me from telling it. Jessica said that she may go as far as to bring a basket of muffins to the show and let people throw them at me when he tells joke, to if nothing else, make the show interactive.
As you could imagine, that idea is fraught with peril. I told Jessica that she could be incriminating herself as part of a crime by going on air saying that she was going to bring possible weapons to the show for people to throw at me. Jessica responded by saying that the only crime committed would be if I decided to tell the muffin joke. Ouch. Tough room.
Come check out the show this Thursday night at the Comedy Cove, With the legendary Joe Piscopo, Jay Black, Chip Chantry,NJ1015's own Steve Trevelise, Jessica Nutt and myself. It's going to be a great time for a great cause with money being raised for the Boys & Girls Club of New Jersey.
