As head of the Republican Governor's Association, Christie has raised over $100 million and spent weeks on the campaign trail.

At the same time, though, potential rivals are stepping up their attacks on the governor.

Both Rand Paul and Bobby Jindal, who may seek the nomination in 2016, have been painting Christie as a bully with a failed record on the economy.

Expect the heat to turn up even more after today's elections as rumors about the potential field reach a fever pitch.
